About the Course
The objective of this course is creative photography digitally captured out in the field or right in your own backyard. We will do a number of field trips where we will photograph flower designs, dew drops, reflections, Mylar reflections, feather designs, butterflies and much more. Once the images are created we will go back into the digital darkroom and go through the entire digital workflow process. Goal: to create some signature images.
Editing of our images is a key to becoming a successful photographer, so we will pay close attention to the editing process. Along with feed back from me, we will also share images on the screen of both current and created work on this workshop.
We will learn how we digitally come up with the 5 S's to Successful Photography:
- Skill - Digitally taking the picture, histograms, lenses, depth field, etc.
- Subject - Having an interesting subject to photograph
- Seeing - Light and composition
- Situation - Getting into a great situation to create those signature images
- Simplification - A key component to a successful image
Who Should Attend?
Anyone who wants to become more creative with their photography. Designed for photographers who work with digital tools and want to come up with creative images, not just in Photoshop but out in the field or right in your own backyard. Time in the field will be spent capturing images that are creative. We’ll take them back to the classroom to bring them to life on the screen and in print.
