About the Course

Learn the technical side of beautiful landscape photography during our annual harvest time in the beautiful wine coutnry of Paso Robles.Then, relax and actually learn how to taste some great wines as well!

We will start by learning some key techniques when going out into the field with our equipment and our vision. To understand light is a key element of any photography. How do you expose for light skies and dark vineyards? This harvest we will walk through beautiful vineyards and see a couple different kinds of working wineries. We will shoot inside the barrel/tank rooms where the magic of wine happens, then we will wait for sunset to shoot the beautiful vineyards with the perfect light.

During our down times and lunch times we will taste wines from the wineries and share snacks that we collect from Trader Joe's, bakeries and deli's in the area.

On Sunday we will take some more time to shoot, and then make it back to the lab to edit our collection. We will go over a few photoshop techniques to enhance our images before choosing a few of our best to print.

*Please bring an external hard drive large enough to get your files home. We do have archival Gold DVD's for sale as well.
